Miso
The loudest cat in the world
I rescued Miso back in 2012 at the age of 5 in Monroe, WA. She was actually from a breeder, but the other Bengals did not like Miso and were picking on her. For just $100, I got this beautiful Bengal cat. Deal! After taking her home, she immediately peed on me and continuously meow'd at a deafening volume. Now, I knew why the other cats were picking on her. Ha! I had no idea a cat could be SO LOUD. Was she hungry? No. Was she thirsty? No. Was she wanting to play? No. It turns out bengals are just…loud. I should have done my research. My neighbor at the time knocked on my door concerned that a child crying was in need of assistance. It was Miso. My neighbor probably thought I was beating her. Luckily I moved a couple months later and that neighbor no longer had to hear a "crying baby" throughout the day.
Today, Miso is now about 13 years old and I still haven't gotten over her meow, but, I can't imagine life without her. She keeps the same sleep schedule as me, burrowing under the blanket to keep me warm and she loves to play with her wand toy. Even at her old age, she is just as active as the day I got her. I hope she continues her youthful spirit and grand roar for many years to come.
